Act I.
Scene 1. 1920, foyer of the Abbey Theatre. William is reading the draft of a new poem to Maud.
WILLIAM
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand…
MAUD
Nice. But don’t call me Shirley.
The curtain falls.
